There are a few myths out there about what you need to do to be successful in your career.
To be honest some of them are pretty punishing.
“Successful people only have 4 hours sleep a night.”
“Writers have to pump out 5000 words a day.”
“True mastery of any craft comes after 10,000 hours.”
Arrrrgh, I feel the guilt washing over me already!
I wonder whether these “musts” and rules come from a feeling of deficit – in striving so much for perfection, that you’re filling a void of “I’m not good enough” rather than relaxing into what makes you thrive and enjoying the ride.
Today we’re delighted to be talking to resilience and adaptability expert Mariya Radysh – on this very topic.
She’s a Trainer, TEDx Speaker and Board Advisor.
Hopefully our discussion will have a big dose of myth busting.
This will be a stimulating and exciting chat.
