by K B , updated on July 6, 2020

Did you know Twitter’s not just for the odd political lunatic, or two?

(Not wanting to point fingers at any one person here.)

I’m here to remind you that you can actually use the platform for job searching.

I’ve been fascinated by its potential for about 10 years when one clever job seeker- Ellison Bloomfield built up a huge network of support on Twitter, garnered introductions and a massive amount of tips to land a job at her dream company Deloitte.

Ellison had people from all over the world introducing her to their connections at Deloitte.

The impressive thing was that Ellison with this one campaign transitioned her career from HR to social media and community manager type roles too.

Read about it here.

So is this possible in today’s Twitter climate?

This is what we’re talking about today.

And for this discussion, we’re bringing in my longtime Twitter buddy, Jacob Share.

Jacob is the founder of the popular job-hunting blog JobMob and a super user of Twitter.

Over the past 10 years he’s built up a massive network.

Today we’re picking his brains on using Twitter as a job-search tool.

In today’s climate is it really possible to gain the same level of support Ellison did?

What can you do in 2020 to stand out, network and find a job?
